Terms & Conditions

General Information

Dent Sheriff provides mobile paintless dent removal and related cosmetic auto body services to customers in Palm City, Florida and surrounding areas. By booking an appointment, requesting an estimate, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use our services or website.

Services and Estimates

  • Services include, but are not limited to, paintless dent repair (PDR), minor ding and crease removal, and related cosmetic body repair that does not involve structural or major collision work.
  • Any estimate given (in person, by phone, text, email, or via photos submitted through our website) is an approximation based on the information and images you provide and is subject to change upon in‑person inspection of the vehicle.
  • We reserve the right to decline or modify any job if, upon inspection, we determine that PDR is not appropriate or that additional work is required.

Mobile Service, Access, and Customer Responsibilities

  • Dent Sheriff operates primarily as a mobile service; you are responsible for providing safe, lawful, and reasonably level access to the vehicle, including sufficient lighting and working space.
  • You represent and warrant that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to approve repairs and to enter into this agreement.
  • You agree to remove any personal items from the vehicle before service. We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property left in or on the vehicle.

Pre‑Existing Damage and Limitations of Service

  • Prior to beginning work, we may visually inspect and/or photograph the vehicle to document existing damage, such as scratches, paint defects, rust, prior body or paint work, or hail damage.
  • Our services are cosmetic in nature and do not address mechanical, safety‑related, or structural defects. We do not guarantee correction of prior bodywork, non‑factory paint, rust, or damage that falls outside normal PDR methods.
  • Some dents may not be fully removable due to metal stretch, paint condition, or prior repairs; in such cases, the goal is improvement, not perfection, and “best possible result” as determined by a qualified technician will constitute satisfactory performance.

Risk of Paint Damage and Non‑Factory Finishes

  • Although PDR is designed to preserve original paint, there is an inherent risk of paint cracking, chipping, or clear‑coat failure, especially on older vehicles, repainted panels, or areas with prior damage or rust.
  • By authorizing Dent Sheriff to proceed, you acknowledge and accept these risks. We are not responsible for latent paint or body failures that are exposed or worsened during normal PDR techniques.
  • We do not warrant compatibility of our work with non‑factory paint, body fillers, wraps, vinyl, or aftermarket accessories.

Scheduling, Cancellations, and No‑Shows

  • Appointment times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or earlier jobs running long; we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of delays.
  • We may request a deposit for certain jobs (for example, large hail repairs, multi‑panel work, or fleet services). Any applicable deposit terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
  • You agree to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling where possible. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or retain part of a deposit for late cancellations or no‑shows that result in lost working time.

Pricing, Invoices, and Payment

  • Final pricing is based on dent size, depth, location, access, number of dents, and difficulty, as determined by the technician at the time of repair.
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full upon completion of the work and before the vehicle is released.
  • We may accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and other payment methods as communicated on our website or at the time of service. Returned payments or chargebacks may incur additional fees.
  • If you are using insurance, you remain responsible for any deductible, out‑of‑pocket costs, and any amount not paid by your insurer.

Warranty and Customer Satisfaction

  • Dent Sheriff may offer a limited warranty on workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle, covering the specific repaired dent area against reappearance caused by our PDR work, provided there is no subsequent impact or damage to that area.
  • This warranty does not cover: new damage, rust, paint failure unrelated to our work, prior body or paint work, or any mechanical or structural issues.
  • Any warranty claim or concern must be reported within a reasonable time after discovery of the issue. We reserve the right to inspect the vehicle and determine, in our sole discretion, whether the issue falls under warranty and whether re‑repair, partial refund, or denial of the claim is appropriate.

Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to our services is limited to the amount you actually paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use of the vehicle, loss of time, diminished value, rental costs, or lost profits.
  • Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any rights you may have that cannot be waived under applicable Florida consumer protection laws.

Storage and Abandoned Vehicles (If Applicable)

  • If your vehicle is left with us at an off‑site location for any reason, you agree to pick it up within the timeframe communicated after completion of the work. Vehicles left beyond the agreed period may incur reasonable daily storage fees.
  • In accordance with Florida law, if a vehicle is left unclaimed for an extended period, we may pursue all available remedies, which can include liens and sale of the vehicle to recover unpaid charges.

  • Any disputes arising out of or related to our services or these Terms shall be handled first through good‑faith discussions; if not resolved, they may be brought in the appropriate state courts located in or for Martin County, Florida, unless otherwise required by law.
